Characteristics of a Great Logo

The NBA logo is used to represent the American basketball association. The designer for this logo is Alan Siegel. The colors of this logo represents the colors of our country flag, red,white and blue. The player used in the logo is the retired basketball player Jerry West. It’s a simple logo which creates a easier understanding to what it represents, which is the national basketball association. Looking back at the color scheme, the white makes the logo stand out because the basketball player outline makes it the center piece to the logo. Just looking at that tells you what sport is being played rather than just having a sign that says NBA. Having the blue and red at the end gave dept to the white to be outstanding in the logo design which makes it the center piece. Someone who views this logo will have no problem understanding what it is.
